Do I need a Paypal account to pay?
No, Paypal is just the payment provider, you can pay with a credit card, when you reach paypal just look for the link that says ‘ Do not have a paypal account ‘, or ‘ Pay with a card’.
How do I book a fast boat ticket to the Gili Islands?
Simply use the search box at the top of this page, fill in the details, click ´Search´ and results will appear. You will be able to see which boats are available, how much they cost, etc. Then just click ´Book´ and follow the booking process. It is quick and easy, you can pay by credit card or with your paypal account, and you will receive immediate e-tickets.
Do I receive e-tickets?
Yes, as soon as you have completed the booking process you will receive email notification confirming the details of your booking from email@example.com and your e-tickets are in an attachment. If you do not receive this email within a few minutes please login to your email provider and check your Spam/Junk folders. Please then mark our email as Safe/Not Junk.
What boat should I book?
When you do a search on our website a list of results will appear, displaying the different prices and departure times. Select the one that you prefer and give yourself enough time for transfers and checkin. From south Bali (and airport) it will take between 1hr30mins and 2hrs to get to Padang Bai for the departure. From Ubud central, just over an hour. Check in is 30mins prior to departure time.
Can I book a fast boat from Lombok to Gili?
Yes, but currently only from Sengiggi and there is only one crossing a day. This can also only be booked on www.ticketfastboat.com. Otherwise, you need to go to Bangsal Harbour, this is cheap and tickets can be purchased from the ticket office in the harbor on the day you travel. Alternatively you can charter a boat from the same ticket office in Bangsal harbor. If you want to avoid Bangsal Harbour, and all its scammers and hawkers then the best option is through a local island transfer company that use a small speed boat that departs from Teluk Nara, you can contact them for rates and bookings by contacting +6281337656505
From the Gilis going to Lombok you can use the local transfer company mentioned above, or you can buy tickets from the ticket office in the harbour on each of the Gilis. The options are Public boat (costs about US$ 2 and leaves when its full) , Shuttle boat (costs about $5 and departs a few times a day), or Charter boat (costs about US$35 and leaves when you want). None of these can be prebooked, you need to go to the office when you are on the Island.
Which fast boats go to Gili Air?
All of our featured boat services go to Gili Air to pick up and drop off passengers after a stop at Lombok and/or Gili Trawangan.
Which boats go to Gili Meno?
Only eka Jaya currently services Gili Meno ocassionally. The other option is to go to Gili Trawangan and then charter a local boat to Gili Meno. Local boats can be chartered from the harbor in Gili Trawangan anytime before 5 pm, they will depart immediately, the journey will take approx 15 minutes and will cost approx US$ 25. Alternatively there is an Island Hopper boat that departs in the afternoon and costs approx US$ 4 per person.
What´s the best way to book Lembongan to the Gilis?
None of our featured boats have an island hopping service, however if you head over to our sister site www.ticketfastboat.com and select the Scoot service from Bali to the Gili Islands, a free stopover on Lembongan is included on the ticket.
I want to depart from Seminyak (South Bali) but return to Ubud, how do I do this?
Simply make a search for the full ‘return’ trip. All our featured services pickup from Seminyak (and Denpasar, Kuta, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Sanur…) for free and drop to central Ubud free upon return (if desired). You can add your specific transfer details during the booking process after you have selected a service from the search results.
Can I change the dates of my tickets?
Yes, when you make a booking you will receive immediate confirmation and e-tickets. On your e-tickets is a contact email address and phone number for the boat company you have booked. Simply email your preferred dates no later than 48hrs before departure and the changes will be made at no extra charge (this is subject to availability).
Can I cancel my tickets?
Yes, you can cancel your tickets but the cancellation policy applies. All bookings cancelled more than 2 weeks from the date of travel will receive a full refund. Cancellations less than 2 weeks but more than 48 hours from the date of travel will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 48 hours from the date of travel will receive no refund.
How can I make a booking?
Bookings can be made online 24 hours a day. Fast boat bookings must be made 24 hours before departure time. Simply fill in the information in the search box at the top of the page to book a fast boat.
Do I get charged a booking fee?
No, we absorb all payment fees, for fast boat tickets full payment is required to secure the booking, this is also refundable, see cancellation information in Terms and Conditions.
Is there a time limit on when I can make a reservation?
No, you have the option of booking a fast boat ticket up to a year in advance but we would not recommend leaving bookings to the last minute.
What happens to my fast boat ticket if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed please contact the fast boat company immediately. We ask fast boat companies to be sympathetic to guests that are delayed through no fault of their own and as a result hope that you will not be charged. We cannot guarantee they will not charge you if inside the cancellation period, however if you are not satisfied with the way they deal with the situation please let us know by email. Usually you will be allowed to travel on the next available boat, if there is availability.
What happens when I make a fast boat reservation?
When you complete the booking you will receive your e-tickets. At the same time an email is sent to us and to the fast boat company you have booked. Most of the fast boat companies will them email you to confirm pickup time in Bali.
How long does confirmation take?
Confirmation of your booking is instant when booking online. You will receive and email confirming all your booking details. This email should be with you within 10 minutes of making a reservation.
What should I do if don’t receive email confirmation of my booking?
Check your junk mail. If it´s not in there and you have not received email confirmation please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org giving us all the details so that we can investigate. Provide us with your name and date of travel and we will be able to resend your booking confirmation email to you.
I made a booking, what do I do if I wish to cancel/amend my booking?
For fast boat bookings simply contact the company directly to make the necessary changes. The contact information is on the e-tickets you received when you made the booking. All changes to dates will be subject to availability. In the event of a cancellation please copy the email you send to fast boat company to email@example.com so we can process your refund.
Do I make payment with you or with the fast boat company?
For fast boat tickets you pay the total price of the ticket when you book it. This is refundable by Gilitickets.com if you cancel more than 2 weeks from the departure date. See cancellation policy for more info.
What currency will I have to pay in?
The currency you pay the fast boat tickets is US$.
How do you calculate exchange rates?
Due to the fluctuating nature of currency exchange we are unable to quote a specific exchange rate. To find out the current exchange rate, we recommend that you check with your bank or a foreign exchange agent however these differ day to day

Do you charge a credit/debit card fee?
No. We do not charge any extra fees when you make a booking.

Once you have booked through Gilitickets.com, your details are stored on our secure server, which cannot be accessed by anyone external to our company. What do you do with my personal information?
For fast boat bookings your details will be passed to the boat company. Your card details will be securely dealt with by Paypal. Any information entered into the online booking page is securely encrypted and protects your personal information from being tampered with. We will keep your card details on file indefinitely after you have made a reservation. This is to assist in any customer service issues that may arise and to ensure that we meet any legal requirements relating to tax, etc.
Do you offer airport transfers?
Some boat companies offer this for free, others charge a fee for the service. All additional fees are paid directly to the boat company in the day you travel
